Why Michael is an educational consultant
My educational journey truly began at Pingree School, where I was inspired by small classes filled with motivated peers and brilliant teachers. In 2006, I completed a post-graduate year at The Gunnery (now Frederick Gunn School), where I abandoned my comfort zone and gained a global perspective.
Growing up, my father was a union construction worker, and my mother cleaned stalls at a local barn to help make tuition payments. The world of independent schools may not have been created for families like ours, but with my parents’ help, it was where I grew up, made best friends, and shared unforgettable experiences that indelibly shaped who I am today.
Neither of my parents went to college, and I will never forget their reaction when I was accepted to Bowdoin. Without their efforts to send me to independent school, I would never have heard of Bowdoin, let alone spent the best four years of my life there.
Upon graduating, my goal became to pay back some of the benefits I received from the independent school world, and that work continues today by helping the next generation of students reach their dreams. After a decade on the faculty of several schools, I have the depth and diversity of independent school experience to help your child navigate the next steps on their own educational journey.
You are on this website because you, like my parents, love your child and want what is best for them. And we are excited to help.
